Let me explain…
Not too long ago, I found myself in the deepest, most desolate chapter of my life. My father—my rock—was taken by a relentless six-month battle with cancer. It wasn’t a fair fight, and it left me shattered.
At the same time, my marriage was barely holding on, fraying at the seams with every passing day. My 20-year-old daughter? She wanted nothing to do with me—less than nothing, actually. Every ounce of love, every connection that once mattered to me, felt irreparably broken.
As if that wasn’t enough, my career—a field I had once been so passionate about—was stagnant. My struggles had seeped into every corner of my life, draining my motivation and leaving me stuck in place while the world seemed to move on without me. I wasn’t just losing the people and relationships I held dear; I was losing my sense of purpose and identity.
But the harsh truth? Aside from my father’s cruel illness, every other hardship was of my own making. I had abandoned myself, given up on life, and numbed my pain in ways that only made everything worse. I wasn’t just lost—I was on the edge of losing everything.
From Desperation to Transformation
My career is in construction management—a field dedicated to building and creating. Ironically, while I spent my days constructing physical structures, I was unknowingly tearing down the foundation of my own life. I built walls to shut out pain, but those same walls kept me trapped.
Then came the breaking point. The moment where I had to face the reality of what my life had become. It was raw, humbling, and terrifying. But that moment of desperation wasn’t the end—it was the beginning. The moment I stopped running and started rebuilding.
Brick by brick, I laid the foundation for a life of strength, clarity, and resilience. A life where I didn’t just survive—I thrived. It wasn’t easy, and it sure as hell wasn’t instant. But through physical discipline, mental resilience, professional realignment, and deep personal connection, I transformed everything I once thought was lost.
Now, I help others do the same.
